CENÁRIOS NO MERCADO AGRÍCOLA INTERNACIONAL: UMA SIMULAÇÃO DE MEDIDAS DO GATT E DA PAC PELA CEE E IMPLICAÇÕES PARA O BRASIL E O MERCOSUL

Resumo

As negociações do GATI, em fase de conclusão na Rodada Uruguai, e a renovação da Política Agrária Comum (PAC) na Comunidade Econômica Européia (CEE) repercutirão de forma importante sobre a economia brasileira, dada sua posição relativa de exportador, principalmente no mercado de soja. Neste trabalho, algumas medidas da PAC, já em fase de implementação na CEE e acordadas no GATI, são simuladas utilizando-se um Modelo Simplificado de Mercado Internacional, e seus efeitos quantificados. Analisam-se as conseqüências para o Brasil, antes e depois da formação do Mercado Comum com os países do Sul, no MERCOSUL.
